Terminology

Term

Definition

Airline Breast

Boneless, skin-on breast with the first wing joint attached.  May be sold split or whole.

Breast Quarter

Bone-In split breast with the wing attached.

Butterfly

Term for a whole boneless chicken breast.  Also called double-lobed.

Fresh

Defined by the USDA as poultry kept at or above 26°F.  Defined by us as poultry kept between 32 and 38°F, giving our customers a truly fresh, never frozen product.

IQF

Individual Quick Freezing.  Process to flash freeze smaller, individual pieces of poultry.

Leg Quarter

Bone-In leg with the drumstick and thigh attached.

Random

Boneless breast not sorted by size.  Also called Line Run.

Split

Term for a whole chicken breast cut in half.

WOG

Whole chicken sold Without Giblet (heart, neck, liver, and gizzard)

Can you deliver to me?

Most likely we can, we deliver to anyone in the Raleigh area. If you are not sure, contact us before ordering and we will get back to you.

What if I'm not home at the time of delivery?

If you aren't home when the delivery is attempted, the easiest option is for you to leave a cooler with ice in an easily accessible location. If that's not an option we will contact you to make alternate drop-off arrangements.

Who delivers my order?

Your order will be hand delivered by two Needham Broughton High School students looking to help a North Carolina poultry processor grow their business while earning money to put towards college.

Our chicken products come from a North Carolina based, family owned poultry processor that services 1,000's of the finest restaurants and hotels all over the Southeast. By buying from us you are supporting both a local business and two high school students earning money for college.
